Radiographic Report
Radiographic interpretation: Moderate cardiomegaly with only mild pulmonary venous distention, but no atrial dilation noted on the VD view. There is a heavy ventral interstitial to alveolar pattern both caudal and cranial to the heart with mild pleural effusion suspected. Both of these are found almost exclusively in the left lung and thorax.
Radiographic diagnosis Heart disease with pulmonary edema likely (CHF).
Clinical interpretation / additional case information: Echocardiographic examination revealed findings consistent with restrictive cardiomyopathy. Hypotension and hypothermia are manifestations of low cardiac output. Treatment with furosemide and enalapril was initiated.
