Radiographic Report
Radiographic interpretation: The radiographs revealed no evidence of cardiomegaly with VHS = 10.1 and VLAS = 1.8. There was no evidence of pulmonary infiltrates and the pulmonary vessels were normal.
Clinical interpretation/additional case information: Based on the presence of a murmur consistent with mitral regurgitation and no evidence of cardiomegaly this dog would be considered Stage B1 MMVD. Based on these findings, the CEG and the 2019 ACVIM MMVD consensus statement recommend no treatment at this time. This patient should be re-evaluated in 8-12 months or sooner if signs of progressive heart disease develop.
